WAVERLY — Class AA Horseheads proved a little too much for Waverly here Tuesday night, sweeping the Lady Wolverines in non-league volleyball action.

The Lady Blue Raiders won by scores of 25-14, 25-21, and 25-10.

“I felt the girls did pretty well during the first two sets,” said Waverly coach Charity Meyers. “Horseheads definitely has a lot of depth to its team.

“It was a lot of fun playing them, and I’m glad we got the opportunity,” she added.

Senior Emilee Little led Waverly with six service points, including three aces, three kills, and three digs, and senior Sidney Tomasso had six points (two aces), three kills, and two blocks.

Junior Aryan Peters added three points, nine setter assists, and three digs for the Lady Wolverines, while 8th-grader Lillie Kirk had three points, three digs, and two kills, junior Aubrey Ennis had two points and three digs, and junior Sydney Nierstedt chipped in with two kills.
