ODESSA "” Sophomore Mykenzie Thetga had a career day (in just her third varsity game) to lead Tioga, 19-0, five-inning win over Odessa-Montour in IAC softball action here on a rainy Friday afternoon.

Tioga took a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run triple by Thetga, who later scored on a wild pitch.

The Lady Tigers added six runs in the second inning in a rally that featured two-RBI singles by Thetga and Hines, and an RBI double by Gabby Foley.

Thetga added an RBI single, and Hines drove in two runs with a single in the third inning as Tioga extended its lead to 12-0.

Tioga extended its lead to 18-0 in the top of the fifth in a rally that was highlighted by a 3-run home run by Gabby Foley and an RBI single by Thetga.

Thetga also drove in the final run of the game with an RBI single in the sixth.

Thetga was 5-for-5, with a triple, a double, four runs scored, and eight RBI, and junior Alissa Hines had there hits, including a double, scored one run, and drove in four runs, and junior Rachel Feeko had three hits, including a double, and scored one run to pace Tioga's 17-hit attack.

Junior Gabby Foley homered and doubled, scored two runs and had four RBI in the win, while senior Kindra Wessels singled twice and scored five runs, junior Julia Bellis singled and scored three times, Olivia Ayres added a single, junior Molly Bombard scored two runs, and senior Mackenzie Luther crossed the plate once.

Wessels was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, earning the win with a complete-game, five-inning performance. She allowed just two hits, while striking out 12 and walking none.

Tioga, now 1-2, returns to action Monday when it hosts Newfield.
