THE VALLEY "" The overall IAC baseball and softball championship games take center stage this afternoon, with Waverly baseball and Tioga softball playing for titles.
BASEBALL
Overall IAC Championship
Waverly (14-4) at Trumansburg (7-2), 3 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 21-6 win over Union Springs in the semifinals Thursday, while the Blue Raiders topped Dryden Friday in the other semi-final game.
Trumansburg's losses came at the hands of Tioga and Lansing, while all four of Waverly's losses were of the non-league variety - Athens, U-E, Horseheads, and Corning.
Waverly is looking to win its second IAC title in a row, and third in four seasons.
SOFTBALL
Overall IAC Championship
Tioga (11-3) at Notre Dame (12-4), 4 p.m.: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 17-0 win over Union Springs in the IAC Small School title game Thursday, while the Lady Crusaders thumped Lansing, 19-1, in the IAC Large School championship tilt.
Tioga's losses this season were to Waverly, Athens, and S-VE, while Notre Dame's losses came at the hands of non-league foes - Horseheads, Elmira, Vestal, and U-E.

Owego at Waverly (7-10), noon: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 2-0 loss at Union-Endicott Friday, while the Lady Indians rolled to a 21-1 win over Seton Catholic.
