Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - Waverly and Tioga will open the Section IV softball playoffs with road games on Monday.
CLASS B PLAYOFFS
Waverly (8-10) is the seventh seed in the Class B playoffs, and will travel to second-seeded Windsor (10-5) for a quarter-final match-up. Game time is 5 p.m.
The winner will play the winner of the game between third-seeded Chenango Forks (8-6) and sixth-seeded Dryden (10-5).
In the top half of the bracket, top-seeded Chenango Valley (9-3) hosts eighth-seeded Oneonta (6-7), and fourth-seeded Susquehanna Valley (9-7) hosts fifth-seeded Owego Free Academy (7-7).
The semi-final games will be played Wednesday on the field of the higher seed.
CLASS C PLAYOFFS
Tioga (11-4) is the seventh seed in the Class C playoffs and will travel to face second-seeded Lansing (11-2) in the quarterfinals. Game time is 5 p.m.
The winner will face the winner of the game between third-seeded Notre Dame (14-4) and sixth-seeded Union Springs (9-1).
In the top half of the bracket, top-seeded Deposit-Hancock (15-1) hosts eighth-seeded Thomas A. Edison (8-5), and fourth-seeded Greene (10-2) hosts fifth-seeded S-VE (12-3).
The semi-final games will be played Wednesday on the field of the higher seed.
