COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA GRAD MANWARING LEADS TC3 IN WIN OVER GENESEE CC (2021-10-10)

DRYDEN — Tioga grad Ari Manwaring, a freshman on the Tompkins-Cortland CC volleyball team, had the best match of her young career to help the Lady Panthers to a five-set win over Genesee Community College.

Manwaring had career-highs with 15 service points, four service aces, and 10 kills in the TCCC win, which snapped a six-game losing streak. She also had one setter assist, one bock, and one dig.

On Wednesday, Manwaring had 12 points (one ace), seven kills, a career-high four blocks, and two digs in a five-set loss to Corning CC.

Last Sunday, Manwaring had eight points, five kills, three blocks, and two digs in a five set loss at Niagara County CC.

On the season, Manwaring, who has played in all eight matches and all 32 sets, leads the team with 15 blocks, is tied for the team lead with 45 kills, and is second on the team with 66 points. She also has 14 digs, and two assists.

TCCC returns to action Tuesday at Broome CC.
