THE VALLEY "" The Athens girls and boys make the long trek to Midd-West High School today, and play for a a berth in their respective District 4, Class AAA championship matches.

4-Athens (9-8) vs. 1-Mifflinburg (17-1), 2 p.m. @ Midd-West H.S.: The Lady Lady Wildcats finished off the regular season 12 days ago with a 3-1 loss to Hughesville, while Mifflinburg wrapped up its season with a 7-0 win over Central Mountain on Oct. 20.
Mifflinburg has won 17 in a row since a season-opening 3-0 loss to Central Columbia. They have outscored their opponents 82-14 this season, and have posted eight shutouts.
Athens lost to Shikellamy (6-1), and Hughesville (3-1), while Mifflinburg beat Shik and Hughesville - both by scores of 2-0.
The winner will face the winner of the match between second-seeded Shikellamy (11-6) and third-seeded Selinsgrove (7-9-2).

3-Athens (12-6) vs. 2-Selinsgrove (12-5-1), 4 p.m. @ Midd-West H.S.: The Wildcats closed out the regular season with an 8-0 win over Troy on Oct. 21, while the Seals
Selinsgrove has won five of its last six matches, and 10 of its last 12 after a 2-3-1 start to the season.
The teams have four common opponents. Selinsgrove is 3-1 against those teams, while Athens is 2-2.
Athens lost to Midd-West 7-0, and to Danville 4-2, while Selinsgrove beat Danville 4-0, and lost to Midd-West 2-1. The Wildcats beat Montoursville 3-2 and Millville 2-1, while the Seals beat Montoursville 9-0 and Millville 5-1.
The winner will face the winner of the match between top-seeded Danville (14-4) and fourth-seeded Mifflinburg (8-9-1).
