OWEGO — The Tioga boys rallied with a big win in the third game to salvage a 2-2 tie with SVEC Tuesday afternoon in IAC Small School Division bowling action, while the Lady Tigers were swept here at the Owego Bowl.
BOYS
Tioga 2, SVEC 2
The Eagles won the first two games by sores of 934-846 and 930-920 to take a 98-pin lead into the third game, but the Tigers won the final game by a score of 945-816 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,711 to 2,680.
Senior Dylan Slater led the Tigers with a 604 series on games of 188, 224, and 192, while 8th-grader Nick Slater shot a 546, including a 206 in the third game,, and junior Bradley Webb had a 525.
Junior Frank Chapman rolled a 512 for the Tigers, including a 200 in the second game, while senior Rocco Fariello added a 499, and junior Gage Cain capped in with a 452.
Garrett Lyndhurst led SVEC with a 607 series, including a 260 in the first game.
GIRLS
SVEC 4, Tioga 0
The Lady Eagles won the first game 739-633, then closed out the sweep with wins of 756-588, and 867-730 for a total pinfall victory of 2,362 to 1,951.
Junior Caroline Chapman led the Lady Tigers with a 438 series, while sophomore Chloe Gillette shot a 408, junior Jamie Card rolled a 389, junior BobbiJo Tarbox added a 377, and senior Rachel Feeko tacked on a 312.
Janelle Marsh led SVEC with a 570 and Kaitlyn Floyd added a 551.
Tioga hosts Thomas A. Edison Thursday.
