POPLAR RIDGE — Waverly won all 12 events, and went 1-2 in four of them, en route to a 66-28 win over Southern Cayuga here Wednesday in IAC boys swimming action.
Senior Kaden Wheeler, and juniors Oscar Williams, Jerrell Sackett, and Ryan Clark each won four events for the Wolverines, and sophomore Liam Wright was a triple-winner.
Williams, Clark, Wheeler, and Sackett teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:44.9. The same foursome won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:32.78
Williams won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:00.27. He also won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.87, and freshman Jason Marrone was third in 2:33.84.
Clark won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.3, and junior Sheldon Huddleston was second in 1:19.72. Clark also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:16.54, and Marrone was second in 1:22.1.
Wheeler won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.23 seconds, and Huddleston was third in 27.44 seconds.
Sackett won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.94 seconds.
Wheeler, Wright, Huddleston and Sackett teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:47.61.
Wright won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:27.84, and Finn Williams was second in 2:53.63. Wright also won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:45.09, and Finn Williams was third in 6:52.6.
Waverly, now 4-1, returns to action Jan. 20 at Lansing.
