ROME, Pa. — Sayre poured 13 runs across the plate in the third inning in an 18-1 three-inning win over Northeast Bradford here Thursday afternoon in NTL Small School Division baseball action.
Junior Zach Garrity had three hits, including a double, scored two runs, and drove in four runs, while Brayden Horton doubled and singled, scored two runs, and knocked in one run, and junior Lucas Horton homered, scored two runs, and had three RBI.
Senior David Northrup and junior Jackson Hubbard each singled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs in the win, while senior Mason Houseknecht singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run, and seniors Kannon VanDuzer and Dom Fabbri, and sophomore Tanner Green each singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run.
Seniors Oakley Gorman and Josh Arnold each scored one run and drove in one run for the Redskins, and senior Joey VanAllen crossed the plate once.
Hubbard, in his first start of the season, earned the win, allowing one run on one hit, while striking out six and walking one in three innings.
Sayre, now 16-1 and winners of 16 straight, returns to action Friday at Wyalusing.
