Valley Sports ReportLITCHFIELD - Sam Claypool and Corey Ault led Sayre’s efforts here Tuesday afternoon in an NTL double-dual cross country meet here at the former elementary school.
The Sayre boys and girls both lost 15-50 decisions to Sullivan County and North Penn-Mansfield.
BOYS
Claypool finished fifth in a time of 22:21, and Mark Golden was 14th in 27:48 in the boys race, which
GIRLS
North-Penn-Mansfield’s Addison Farrer won the girls race in a time of in 24:34, while Ault finished 11th in 28:00 to lead the Lady Redskins.
Rose Shikanga was 12th in 28:03 for Sayre, and Deb Shikanga (30:24), Olivia Corbin (33:16), and Bella Russo (37:41) were 15th through 17th, respectively.
JUNIOR HIGH
Sayre’s Corey Hurd placed fourth in the junior high race in a time of 11:39, while Ian Garrison was 13th in 13:43, Regan McGaughey was 16th in 14:34, and Krystal Nyangae was 20th in 24:07.
