
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Sayre grad Brayden Horton, a freshman on the Division I Liberty University baseball team, registered his first collegiate hit here Tuesday afternoon in non-league win over Bryant College.
Horton, who had struck out and walked in his first two plate appearances this season, ripped a one-out, pinch-hit triple dow the right-field line for his first hit. He scored his career run moments later on a passed ball.
Liberty topped Bryant College, 10-3.
Liberty, now 7-5 begins a three-game series at East Carolina, ranked 9th in the country, Friday.
