Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - Waverly will vie for a trip to the New York State girls golf championships Thursday at the Section IV Championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.
Horseheads is the odds-on-favorite to defend its title, and represent Section IV at States, but Corning, Lansing, and Waverly, which finished fourth last year, could mount a challenge.
The top nine individuals will also compete at States.
Last year, Breanne Robinson, then a freshman, finished 10th - four strokes behind the ninth-place finisher.
