Valley Sports ReportSAYRE - Sayre dropped a pair of decisions to Towanda recently in NTL junior high softball action here at Riverfront Park.
The junior Black Knights blanked the Redskins, 25-0, in the first game, and pulled out a 12-11 decision in the second game of the twinbill.
In the nightcap, Emily Strickland pitched a complete game for Sayre, recording eight strikeouts.
McKenna Jarvis belted a triple and a double, while Paige Secrist doubled and singled, and Kayleigh Winiavski stroked a pair of singles to pace Sayre at the plate.
Kaiya Horton tripled for Sayre, while Payton Black and Strickland each doubled, and Olivia Homer added a single.
Sayre falls to 9-7 on the season.
