CANTON, N.Y. — Waverly grad Alex Tomasso, a great student, won her first tournament as a member of the St. John Fisher women’s golf team over the weekend at the St. Lawrence Invitational.

Tomasso, a transfer from Div. I Merrimack College, posted a 78 on Saturday at the 6,207-yard, par-72 Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course, and followed it up Sunday with a 74

The Cardinals return to action this weekend at the Hamilton College Invite.
