NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO SWEEPS SAYRE (2023-09-26)

SAYRE - Wellsboro was in control from the outset, and breezed to a sweep of Sayre here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Lady Hornets won by scores of 25-9, 25-8, and 25-7.

Senior Layla Bennett had two digs, and sophomore Rylee Lantz had two assists for Sayre. Senior Faith Swackhammer, and junior Abbie McGaughey and Mazlin VanDuzer each had one service point.

Meredith Brownlee led Wellsboro with 21 points, including five aces, four kills, and three digs, while Lexi Urena had 14 points, including five aces, and three kills, and Paige Logsdon registered six kills.

Sayre, now 0-9, hosts NEB Thursday.
