
TIOGA JUNCTION — Neither team generated many scoring opportunities, but the unbeaten Williamson Warriors took advantage of theirs in a 3-0 win over Athens here Wednesday afternoon in NTL boys soccer action.
Hayden Plunkett put the Warriors, now 11-0, on the board just five minutes into the game.
It took 62 minutes for Williamson, with Plunkett again finding the back of the net to make it 2-0.
Braeden Colwell added another insurance goal with 4 minutes remaining to provide the final margin.
Williamson had a 5-4 edge in shots-on-goal, and 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Junior Liam Lezak recorded two saves in net for the Wildcats.
Athens, now 4-5, hosts Galeton Friday.
