NORTH EASTON, Mass. — Athens grad Emma Roe, a junior on the Division I Wagner College women’s soccer team, scored her first goal of the season, but the Seahawks dropped a 3-2 decision to Stonehill College here Saturday afternoon.
Roe scored her goal in the third minute of the game to give Wagner a 1-0 lead, and Madison Carr, who assisted on Roe’s goal, scored in the 30th minute to make it 2-0.
However, scored three second-half goals, including the game-winner with 8 minutes remaining, to pull out the win.
On the season, Roe has nine shots, including five on-goal. She is averaging 59.5 minutes of playing time per game.
Wagner, now 5-6-2, returns to action Thursday at Delaware State.
