Valley Sports ReportNORTH SYRACUSE - Tioga sophomore Gavin Albrecht, who will be making his first appearance at States, is the seventh seed in the pole vault here Friday at the New York State Division 2 Track & Field Championships.
Albrecht’s seed height of 13-feet, 9-inches puts him seventh in the Division 2 field, and 25th overall. (The pole vault competition has Division 1 and 2 competitors vaulting together.)
Tactic Hills senior Neil Howard is the top seed in Division 2 with a seed height of 17-feet, 1 1/4-inches, and Batavia junior Cooper Konieczny is the second seed at 14-feet, 7-inches.
The pole vault competition begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Field events begin at 11 a.m. Friday, and track events get under way at 12:30 p.m.
