THE VALLEY — An extremely busy night features three home games at Waverly, two at Tioga, and one at Sayre. There are 11 games in all on the docket, now that the Waverly-Windsor volleyball match has been postponed.

GIRLS SOCCER
Oneonta (0-2 overall, 0-2 STAC) at Waverly (2-1, 1-0), 7 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 3-2 win over St. Lawrence Saturday in the second game of the N.Y. State Hall of Fame Classic, while the Yellowjackets dropped a 2-1 decision to Seton Catholic Thursday.

BOYS SOCCER
Athens (1-4) at Troy (0-8), 4 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 2-0 loss to Horseheads Saturday, while Troy dropped a 2-0 decision to Sullivan County Monday.

Newfield (1-0) at Tioga (0-4), 4:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off an 8-1 loss to SVEC Monday, while the Trojans topped Groton, 4-2, last Tuesday.

VOLLEYBALL
Newark Valley at Tioga, 5 p.m. JV start:
The longtime IAC rivals open the 2024 season tonight.

Waverly at Windsor, 5:30 p.m. JV start:  …. POSTPONED.

Cowanesque Valley (0-3) at Sayre (0-3), 6 p.m. JV start: The Redskins are coming off a 3-o loss to NEB Thursday, while the Indians were swept by Canton.

Athens (1-1) at Towanda (1-3), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a loss to Troy, while the Black Knights were by Williamsport.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Greene (0-1) at Waverly, 5:30 p.m.:
The Wolverines finished third at their own invite Saturday, and open their dual season today, while the Trojans dropped their season-opener to Norwich, 74-36, Thursday.

BOYS GOLF
Athens, Sayre at River Valley Country Club, 1 p.m. @ Westfield, Pa.:
The Wildcats lead the NTL with a 24-0 record, and have won 19 straight league matches.

Sophomore Eli Hicks and senior Dylan Saxon are among the NT scoring leaders.

Seton Catholic (1-0) at Waverly (0-1), 4 p.m.: The Wolverines dropped a 240-263 decision to Windsor Thursday, while the Saints topped Chenango Valley, 209-241.
