Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Towanda posted a perfect 7-0 record to win the NTL Youth Volleyball League championships here recently, posting a win over Athens in the finals.
Towanda swept Sayre and Troy in pool play, then beat Canton in the semifinals.
Towanda swept Athens by scores of 25-12 and 25-17 in the finals.
Athens was 3-2 in pool play, dropping two out of three to Canton, and sweeping NEB. The Wildcats then advanced to the finals with a win over Troy in the semifinals.
The league had games on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings. It was the
second season of the league and first year with a tournament.
