ADDISON, N.Y. — Waverly rode long-range shooting to an early double-digit lead, and continued to shoot the ball well the entire game in an 80-37 rout of Addison here Monday night in non-league boys basketball action.
The Wolverines shot 50.8 (31 of 61) percent from the field, including 54.5 percent (12 of 22) from 3-point range. Junior Hogan Shaw knocked down four 3-pointers for Waverly, and eight of his teammates made one apiece.
"I’ve been waiting for us to break out and have a good shooting night," said Waverly coach Lou Judson.
"Hogan (Shaw) got us going early, and as a team we shot the ball very well," he noted. "We made the right pass at the right time throughout the game.
"Hopefully, this will give us confidence going back into division play on Wednesday when we host Chenango Forks," added Judson.
