ROCHESTER — Waverly grad Sidney Tomasso, a senior at St. John Fisher, recently had three double-doubles in a four-game span, and is moving up the Top-10 list in several offensive categories.

On Jan. 24, Tomasso ripped the nets for 23 points, including a 4-for-6 effort from behind the 3-point arc, and pulled down 10 rebounds. She also had four assists and four steals in a 76-46 win over Keuka College.

The next night, Tomasso scored 17 points and hauled down 10 rebounds in a 79-63 win over Elmira College She also had one assist, one steal, and was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.

On Jan. 28, Tomasso had 23 points, including four 3-pointers, nine rebounds, five assists, and one blocked shot in an 83-73 win over Nazareth.

On Friday, Tomasso pumped in 25 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and pulled down 13 rebounds. She also had two assists, four steals, and one blocked shot in a 79-69 win over Utica University.

On Saturday, Tomasso scored a season-low nine points in a season-low 26 minutes. She also had six boards, two assists, and four steals in a 58-35 win over SUNY Poly. SJF led 20-2 after the first quarter.

For the season, Tomasso is averaging 19.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. She is shooting 86 percent (98 of 114) and has 43 3-pointers this season.

For her career, Tomasso averages 14.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in 112 games.

She is sixth all-time in scoring with 1,505 points, and fifth all-time with 154 3-pointers.

She has made 285 free throws, and is third all-time at 85.3 percent from the line.

St. John Fisher is 16-4 on the season, and returns to action Friday at SUNY Geneseo.
