NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: SAYRE FALLS TO NEB, 55-46, IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE (2025-02-07)

SAYRE — Northeast Bradford built an 11-point halftime lead on its way to a 55-46 win over Sayre to secure second place in the Small School Division and a trip to the NTL Showdown here Friday night in boys basketball action.

The Panthers led 16-13 after the first quarter, and used a 19-11 run in the second quarter to take a 35-24 lead into the halftime locker room.

Senior Ryan Ressler scored 10 points, and Zach Senese knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to keep the Redskins in the game.

Ressler and senior Nick Pellicano scored four points apiece to fuel a 10-4 third-quarter run to close the gap to 39-34 heading into the final eight minutes.

Pellicano and junior Karter Green scored five points apiece, but Northeast Bradford made enough free throws (9 of 16) down the stretch to seal the win.

Ressler led Sayre with 14 points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots, while Pellicano had nine points, four rebounds and three assists, and Green had nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and one blocked shot

Senese added eight points, five rebounds, and one blocked shot for the Redskins, while senior Hudson Trump contributed six points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and one blocked shot, and senior Theo Molina chipped in with three rebounds.

Sayre, which beat NEB 58-33 earlier this season, wraps up the the regular season with a 14-8 record.
