TOMASSO MOVES UP TO FOURTH ALL-TIME ON SJF SCORING LIST, ALSO IN TOP FIVE OF THREE OTHER CATEGORIES

ROCHESTER — Waverly grad Sidney Tomasso, a senior on the St. John Fisher women's basketball team, has registered five consecutive double-doubles heading into her final regular-season game.
On Feb. 8, Tomasso started her string of double-doubles with the best game of her college career in a 70-67 win at SUNY Brockport.
She poured in 32 points, including four 3-pointers, and pulled down 17 rebounds, including six offensive boards. She also had two assists, two blocked shots, and one steal.
Tomasso made 10 of 21 shots from the field, including 4 of 10 from behind the 3-point arc, and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line.
On Feb. 14, Tomasso scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, to go along with three steals and one assist, in a 74-36 win over Hartwick.
The next night, Tomasso scored 22 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point range, and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. She also had 14 rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in an 80-75 loss to Russell Sage College.
On Tuesday, Tomasso led St. John Fisher with 19 points, highlighted by a 10-for-10 performance from the free-throw line, 12 rebounds, two blocked shots, and one steal in a 74-53 loss to Nazareth.
On Saturday, Tomasso scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, to go along with three assists and three steals in a 72-55 win over Houghton College.
On the season, Tomasso is averaging 19.7 points, and 9.4 rebounds, as well as 1.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game in 36.3 minutes per game.
She is shooting 39.8 percent from the field, including 36.2 percent (55 of 165) from behind the 3-point arc. She is also shooting 86 percent (141 of 164) from the free-throw line.
Tomasso's 141 free throws this season is currently sixth all-time for a single-season, while her 19.7 points per game is seventh all-time, and her 55 3-pointers is ninth all-time.
For her career, Tomasso moved into fourth all-time at St. John Fisher with 1,624 points. She has made 85.4 percent (328 of 384) of his free throws, which is second all-time. She has also made 166 3-pointers and 565 field goals, which are both fifth all-time.
St. John Fisher, now 19-7, closes out the regular season at SUNY Geneseo.
