TIOGA CENTER — Tioga sophomore Jackson Bombard was named an IAC South Small School first-team all-star, while junior Dominic Palmer earned a second-team nod, and junior James Miller received honorable mention recognition recently in voting by the division's coaches.
Candor junior Jakobe Foster was named the division's MVP.
FIRST TEAM
Jackson Bombard, sophomore, Tioga: A floor general in the truest sense of the word, Bombard averaged 10.4 points, 4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 3 steals per game.
He shot 69.3 percent from the free-throw line, and knocked down 31 3-pointers on the season.
Also named to the first team were: Foster, Newfield's Malcolm Jenkins and Greg Taylor, and O-M's Tyler Malnoske.
SECOND TEAM
Dominic Palmer, junior, Tioga: Palmer, who developed into a force in the paint in his first varsity season, averaged 10.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game.
Also named to the second team were: Candor's Donald Makie and Carson Heidl, Newfield's Zakieus Vaun, and S-VE's Luukas Carling.
Honorable Mention
James Miller, junior, Tioga: A threat from the perimeter, Miller averaged 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
Also receiving honorable mention recognition were: Newfield's Lemari Spearks, S-VE's Christopher Merrick, Candor's Ryan Huizinga, and Newfield's Malachi Wright.
