THE VALLEY — NTL softball takes center stage in the Valley this afternoon as Athens opens the 2025 season at home this afternoon, while Sayre looks to improve to 2-0 in its home opener.

SOFTBALL
Towanda (1-0) at Athens (0-0), 1 p.m.: The Wildcats had their season-opener against Troy rained out Thursday, while the Black Knights knocked off Wyalusing, 4-2, at home Thursday.

NEB (1-1) at Sayre (1-0), 2 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 16-11 win at Canton Tuesday, while the Panthers opened the season with a 13-2 win at Cowanesque Valley Tuesday, but lost 4-0 at Williamson Wednesday.
