Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — The weather looks a little better this week, and the spring season will rev back into high gear with baseball, softball, track & field, and flag football action galore.
There are 30 events on this week's docket, including seven on Wednesday and Thursday.
The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

• Sayre baseball hosts North Penn-Mansfield at Riverfront Park.
TUESDAY (4)
• Athens hosts Towanda in an NTL Large School track & field meet.
• Sayre track & field hosts Small School rival Williamson.
WEDNESDAY (7)
• Tioga and S-VE square off again at Shepard Hills in IAC boys golf action.
• Waverly baseball hosts Chenango Valley in the second game of their three-game series.
• Tioga baseball and softball hosts Marathon in IAC Small School diamond action.
• S-VE hosts Waverly and Corning in girls golf action at Shepard Hills.
THURSDAY (7)
• Tioga hosts Athens in an interesting non-league softball game.
• Sayre baseball and softball hosts Millville in non-league diamond action.
• Waverly travels to Owego for a flag football contest.
FRIDAY (4)
• Athens softball travels to North Penn-Liberty for a key NTL Large School softball showdown.
SATURDAY (2)
• Athens baseball hosts Edison in a non-league title.
• Waverly hosts Greene in flag football action at Memorial Stadium.
