MORAVIA — Seven Tioga miscues resulted in six unearned runs in a 6-3 loss to Moravia here Thursday afternoon in IAC Small School Division baseball action.

Tioga managed just two hits in the loss, but took advantage of three Blue Devil errors to score three unearned runs.

Senior Shea Bailey singled to lead off the game, and later scored on a passed ball to make it 1-0. Moments later, Gavin Kithcart delivered a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.

Moravia answered in the home half of the inning, turning two singles, a passed ball and two Tioga errors into three runs and a 3-2 lead.

Sophomore Jackson Bombard hit an RBI single in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 3-3, but four Tioga errors resulted in three Blue Devil runs and a 6-3 lead.

Tioga only had one batter reach base over the final three innings.

Bombard singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, while Bailey singled and scored one run, Cam Ross scored one run, and Kithcart had an RBI to account for Tioga's offense.

Tioga, now 4-1, returns to action Monday when it hosts Southern Cayuga.
