Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Sayre baseball, and Tioga golf will be in action in the Valley, but unbeaten Athens softball will be playing in the "Game of the Day" for the second day in a row with a road game against unbeaten North Penn-Liberty.
BASEBALL
Waverly at Chenango Valley (2), 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.: The Wolverines dropped a 5-1 decision at Chenango Valley Monday.
Wednesday's rainout will be made up this morning, with Waverly the home team in the first game of the doubleheader.
NP-Mansfield (5-1) at Sayre (0-8), noon: The Redskins are coming off a 14-1 loss to Millville Thursday, while the Tigers topped Canton, 16-5, 11 days ago.
SOFTBALL
Waverly (4-2) at Maine-Endwell (2-1), noon: The Wolverines are coming off a 13-1 loss to Chenango Valley Monday, while the Spartans beat Chenango Forks, 16-1.
Athens (7-0) at North Penn-Liberty (7-0), 3 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 13-0 win over previously-unbeaten Tioga Thursday, while the Mountaineers topped Canton, 11-1, Monday.
BOYS GOLF
Tioga vs. S-VE, 2 p.m. @ Shepard Hills: Tioga edged S-VE by 2 strokes last week at Shepard Hills.
