ENDWELL — Maine-Endwell scored early and often, and cruised to a 15-2 five-inning win over Waverly here Friday afternoon in STAC softball action.
The Spartans scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take a 4-0 lead, then plated six runs in the second to up their advantage to 10-1.
Senior Makayla Esau singled twice and drove in one run, and junior Delaney Wheeler singled twice and scored one run to pace Waverly's six-hit attack.
Seventh-grader Paige Bubniak singled and scored one run, while junior Madison Cron added a single, and senior Meghan Apgar had one RBI.
Isabel Hunter and Kaylee Hurba each homered for the Spartans.
Tessa L'Amoreaux earned the win for M-E, allowing two runs on six hits, while striking out six and walking two. She also doubled and singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs.
Waverly, now 4-3, hosts Dundee Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
