Valley Sports ReportNICHOLS — Candor's Noah Banks earned low-medal honors with a round of 40, but all four of Tioga's golfers shot 50 or better to pull out a 2-stroke win over Candor in its home opener here Monday afternoon in IAC boys golf action at the Tioga Golf Course.
Senior James Luther shot a 42 and junior Owen Seaver carded a 43 to lead the Tigers to a 183-185 win on the par-35 front nine.
Freshman Drayke Ulrich shot a 48 for Tioga and 8th-grader Parker Jackson had a 50.
Senior Jackson Clark added a non-scoring round of 56, and junior Aiden Black tacked on a 66.
Kody Floyd shot a 43 for the Coyotes, and Tyler Greeno added a 48.
Tioga, now 2-3, hosts O-N Tuesday.
