WYALUSING — Sophomore Graham Wanck led the Athens boys to a third-place finish here Friday at a rainy Lasagna Track & Field Invite, while junior double-winner Abby Burgess and senior Sara Bronson helped the Lady Wildcats to a fourth-place finish.

BOYS
Wanck won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:30.93, while sophomore Lucas Persun was 17th in 4:55.72, and sophomore Matt Rossettie was 20th in 4:59.31.

Wanck finished fifth in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 9:53.72, while Persun was 14th in 10:43.77, and sophomore Alex Acres was 19th in 11:01.96.

Senior Jase Babcock finished second in the high jump at 6-feet, 4-inches. He placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 19-feet, 7 3/4-inches

Juniors Alex Thompson, Sean Peters, and Ryan Cook, and freshman Patrick Umber teamed to finish fourth in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:41.59.

Cook placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.53 seconds, while sophomore Ryder Morley was 13th in 25.07 seconds, and senior Peter Jones was 22nd in 25.64 seconds.

Cook and Morley teamed with seniors Lucius Mickley and Brayden Onofre to finish seventh in the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.72 seconds.

Thompson and Rossettie teamed with senior Ethan Hicks and sophomore Jacob Shores to finish seventh in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 8:43.84.

Hicks finished 11th in the javelin with a throw of 110-feet, 4-inches

Umber finished 13th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 55.26 seconds, while Thompson was 15th in 55.4 seconds, and junior Sean Peters was 23rd in 56.44 seconds.

Cook finished 14th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.81 seconds.

Rossettie finished 18th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:12.93, and Shores was 24th in 2:15.05.

Junior Chase Ingram was 22nd in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 19.38 seconds.

In a non-scoring event, Umber finished fifth in the freshman 100-meter dash in a time of 12.19 seconds.

GIRLS
Burgess won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.22 seconds.

Burgess also won the 200-meter dash in a time 26.45 seconds, and senior Gretchen Schmieg was 19th in 29.22 seconds.

Burgess finished second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.82, and freshman Marlene Rolle was 21st in 1:09.59.

Bronson won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:31.99, and junior Ava Hughes was seventh in 12:31.85

Bronson finished fourth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:16.86, and Hughes was 11th in 5:45.47

Junior Lizzie Gorsline placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 49.1 seconds, and senior Addy Wheeler was 21st in 56.34 seconds.

Burgess and Bronson teamed with Gorsline and senior Emma Renninger to place eighth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:24.94.

Gorsline finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.18 seconds, and Wheeler was 23rd in 19.33 seconds.

Junior Evelyn Panek finished eighth in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches, while junior Elizabeth Denlinger was tied for ninth at 4-feet, 4-inhes

Freshman Annika Lezak was 13th in the javelin with a throw of 84-feet, 9-inches, and sophomore Mya Smith was 24th in 76-feet.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Leonard was 20th in the long jump with a mark of 14-feet, 3/4-inches.

Senior Hannah Earls was 24th in the discus with a mark of 76-feet, 5-inches.

In non-scoring events, Hailey Brinkley finished fourth in the freshman 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:49.31, and Ella Marhefka finished fifth in the freshman 100-meter dash in a time of 14.18 seconds.
