Valley Sports ReportMARATHON — Senior James Luther finished in the top-10, and helped Tioga to a sixth-place finish here Tuesday afternoon at the Section IV, Class D boys golf championships at Maple Hills Golf Course.
Groton won the team title with a five-player aggregate score of 459 — just one shot ahead of runner-up Notre Dame, with B-G five shots back at 464, and Oxford six shots back at 465. Candor was fifth at 475, and Tioga was sixth at 502.
Luther carded an 84 to finish seventh, while junior Owen Seaver shot a 96, and senior Jackson Clark had a 103.
Junior Brady Landmesser had a 109 for the Tigers, freshman Drayke Ulrich added a 110, and 8th-grader Parker Jackson tacked on a non-scoring round of 125.
