PIAA TRACK & FIELD: FIVE ATHENS ATHLETES RECEIVE ALL-STATE RECOGNITION (2025-07-24)

ATHENS — Athens had five members of its track & field program honored with selection to the PIAA All-State Track & Field Class AAA teams.

Senior Jase Babcock earned first-team honors in the high jump, and was named to the All-Senior high jump team as well.

Junior Abby Burgess was a second-team selection in the 100- and 200-meter springs. She was also named to the All-Junior team in both events.

Senior Sara Bronson earned a third-team nod in the 1,600-meter run, and was an honorable mention in the 3,200-meter run. She was an All-Senior team selection in both events.

Sophomore Graham Wanck earned honorable mention recognition in the 1,600-meter run. He was named to the All-Sophomore team in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs.

Freshman Annika Lezak was named tot he All-Freshman team in the javelin.
