Valley Sports ReportGETTYSBURG, Pa. — Tioga grad Julia Bellis, a senior defensive specialist, helped Bridgewater to a 2-2 mark at the season-opening Battlefield Classic over the weekend here at Gettysburg College.
On Friday, Bellis recorded two service points — both aces, 10 digs, and two setter assists in a 3-2 loss to Messiah College. Bridgewater led the match 2-1.
In the remaining three matches over the weekend, Bellis had 12 digs, one point, and one assist.
Bridgewater finished the tournament at 2-2.
