Valley Sports ReportALFRED, N.Y. — Waverly grad Griff Schillmoeller, a sophomore on the Alfred University men's soccer team, saw his first action in the Saxons' 5-0 win over Penn State-Altoona.
Schillmoeller played 34 minutes and fired the first shot-on-goal of his collegiate career in the consolation game of the Alfred Cup.
As a freshman, Schillmoeller appeared in four games and played 99 minutes.
Alfred returns to action Friday in the opening game of the Blue Devil Classic at SUNY Fredonia.
