Valley Sports ReportWELLSBORO — Junior Shaine Strickland shot a season-low round, but Sayre dropped a decision to Wellsboro here Monday afternoon in NTL golf action at the Tyoga Country Club.
Wellsboro topped Sayre, 176-248, but lost to Wyalusing, 173-176.
Strickland fired a 45 on the par-35 front nine at Tyoga, while Caleb Grover and Brook Roberts each shot 67, and Jordan Brown carded a 69.
Paige Secrist and James Leonard added non-scoring rounds of 73 and 76, respectively.
Myles Kersher shot a 41 and Lucas Girven had a 42 to lead four Wyalusing golfers with rounds of 46 or better.
Wellsboro's Syler Pietrzyk earned low-medal honors with a 37.
Sayre, now 0-24, returns to action Monday at Cowanesque Valley.
