NTL VOLLEYBALL: SAYRE WINS FIRST SET, BUT DROPS 3-1 DECISION AT WILLIAMSON (2025-09-12)

TIOGA JUNCTION, Pa. — Sayre pulled out a win in a hard-fought first set, but Williamson responded to pull out a 3-1 decision here Thursday evening in NTL Small School Division volleyball action.

The Redskins won the first set, 27-25, but the Warriors bounced back to take the next three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 26-24.

Junior Yhale Doon led Sayre with 16 setter assists, 12 digs, and two kills, while sophomore Reghan McGaughey had 13 kills and 21 digs, and freshman Lilliana Schack recorded five aces, four kills, five assists, and 18 digs.

Junior Alex Schack contributed three aces, two kills, and 16 digs, while sophomore Grace Russo had four aces, two assists, and nine digs, senior Rylee Lantz registered four kills and five blocks.

Junior Azalea McClenny added two kills and one block, and sophomore Emily Strickland chipped in with two kills.

Sayre, now 2-3, hosts Galeton Saturday in a 1 p.m. JV start.
