WINDSOR — Waverly scored on all five of its first-half possessions on its way to a 34-13 win over Windsor here Friday night in Section IV football action.

Waverly maintained the lead, at 7-6, when junior Matthias Welles blocked the extra-point attempt.
The Wolverines appeared to answer in dramatic fashion, but Bryce LaForest's 85-yard kick return for a score was nullified by a block-in-the-back call.

On the second play, junior QB Ben Shaw found senior Daltton Davis wide open in the seam for a 50-yard gain to the Windsor 8.

Davis returned the punt 9 yards to the Windsor 41.
Waverly needed a fourth-down conversion of its own, and Robinson picked up 6 yards on fourth-and-5. Two plays later, Ben Shaw connected with Davis on a 28-yard TD strike to make it 20-6 with 2:27 remaining in the first quarter.
On Windsor's third play of its ensuing possession, Waverly sophomore Drayton DeKay picked off a pass at the Black Knight 38.

Windsor picked up three first downs on its next possession, but the Wolverine defense stiffened and forced a turnover on downs at their 30.
On Waverly's first play, Ben Shaw connected with Robinson in the flats and he scampered 31 yards to the Windsor 39, where he was brought down via a horse-collar tackle. The resulting 15-yard penalty moved the ball to the Black Knight 24.
Three plays later, Ben Shaw connected with Robinson on a 19-yard TD pass with 4:34 remaining in the half. Hogan Shaw's PAT kick made it 34-6.
