Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Tioga won its pool, and went on to win the team title at the Tioga Volleyball Tournament here Saturday afternoon.
Tioga, which won Pool 1 by virtue of the point-differential tie-breaker, and Candor both finished with 6-2 record, while Oneonta was 5-3, Chenango Forks was 2-6 and Delhi was 1-7.
Corning won Pool 2 with an 8-0 record, while Trumansburg was 6-2, Chenango Valley was 3-5, Unatego was 2-6 and Dryden was 1-7.
In the semifinals, Tioga topped Trumansburg, 25-13, while Corning beat Candor, 25-19.
Tioga knocked off Corning, 25-16, in the finals.
The Tigers return to action Tuesday at Edison.
