Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — It's another very busy week, including the first championship of the fall season with the NTL golfers teeing it up for a league title at Corey Creek Thursday.
There are 40 events on this week's docket, including 10 each on Tuesday and Thursday, and seven on Friday.
The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:
MONDAY (6)
• Athens and Sayre play their final regular-season golf match of 2025, finishing off at Shepard Hills.
• Tioga field hockey hosts Greene.
• The Waverly boys host Susquehanna Valley at Shepard Hills.
TUESDAY (10)
• Athens hosts NTL rival Wyalusing on the girls soccer pitch at Alumni Stadium.
• Sayre volleyball hosts NTL Small School rival Cowanesque Valley.
• Waverly volleyball hosts STAC rival Windsor.
• The Waverly boys host STAC Central Division rival Chenango Forks on the pitch, under the lights at Memorial Stadium.
WEDNESDAY (3)
• Waverly hosts divisional rival Chenango Valley in a girls soccer contest.
• Waverly hosts Elmira in a non-divisional volleyball match-up.
THURSDAY (10)
• The Athens and Sayre golfers compete at the NTL Championships at Corey Creek Golf Course in Mansfield.
• Tioga hosts Whitney Point in an IAC crossover volleyball match.
• Waverly hosts Seton Catholic in a divisional volleyball match.
• Tioga field hockey hosts Walton.
FRIDAY (7)
• Waverly hosts Norwich on the gridiron at Memorial Stadium.
• Tioga football is on the road against defending Section IV, Class D champ Delhi.
• Athens football is on the road at North Penn.
• Waverly hosts Susquehanna Valley on the pitch behind the Waverly High School.
• The Tioga girls host Moravia in an IAC Small School crossover soccer match.
• Athens and Waverly are in action at the Owego Night Cross Country Invitational.
SATURDAY (4)
• Sayre football is on the road at Muncy.
