Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Tioga senior Logan Bellis had a monster game, while Athens sophomore Ty Owen won NTL gold, and Athens sophomore Alissa Vough ran a pair of very good races. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Sept. 20.
TIOGA's BELLIS, ATHENS' OWEN NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Bellis, who missed his junior season with a knee injury, had a career game in Tioga's 34-14 win over New York state's top-ranked Class D Delhi.
Bellis ran for 300 yards on 19 carries, scoring on runs of 46, 51, and 85 yards — all in the second half. He also had a 35-yard run to set up Tioga's final score of the game.
Bellis also had two catches for 35 yards, including a 20-yard TD reception to end the first half.
Owen shot a pair of sterling rounds to earn the honor.
On Thursday, Owen shot a 76, with a 38 on the front and a 38 on the back at Corey Creek Golf Course in Mansfield, to win the season-ending NTL Championship tournament.
On Wednesday, Owen earned low-medal honors in the final regular-season match with an even-par round of 37 at The Club at Shepard Hills.

ATHENS' VOUGH NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Vough ran a pair of outstanding races to earn "Athlete of the Week."
On Saturday, Vough finished eighth in a field of 160 runners at Owego's Dash in the Dark Night Cross Country Invitational, finishing in a time of 19:58.6.
On Tuesday, Vough placed first in a tri-meet, leading Athens to wins over Wyalusing and Cowanesque Valley.
