Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Tioga got off to a fast start, and never let up in a sweep of Newark Valley here Tuesday night in IAC South Large School Division volleyball action.
The Tigers, now 6-1, won by scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-10.
Senior RaeAnne Feeko led Tioga with 14 service points, 13 setter assists, and two digs, while senior Audi Zorn had nine points and three kills, and senior Lilly Mezzatesta had five points, six kills, and 10 digs.
Junior Vanessa Tunnicliff had three points, four kills and two assists in the win, while sophomore Vida Rossi had five kills and four digs, senior Mia Hall had five kills and two digs, and senior Alyson Chamberlain added four assists and two digs.
Mary Divers had two points and two digs for the Tigers, while junior Peyton Black registered three kills, Sadie Marshall and Lydiah Decker recorded four digs apiece, and junior Jade Keaty chips in with three digs.
Tioga returns to action Thursday when it hosts Lansing.
JV — Tioga 2, Newark Valley 0: Tioga swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-15 and 25-17.
Irie Lynch led Tioga with nine points, four digs, and one block, while Courtney Smith had eight points, four kills and four digs, Kate Kithcart had eight points, six digs, and three digs.
Brianna Lounsbury had seven points, six kills and four digs in the win, while Riley Butler added four points, Kaylynne Miller had two points and two kills, and Lizzie Seck chipped in with three digs.
