Valley Sports ReportROME, Pa. — Sayre dramatic turnaround continued with a sweep of Northeast Bradford here Tuesday night in NTL Small School volleyball action.
The Redskins, who dropped their first two matches of the season to run their losing streak to 66 matches, have now won five of their last six matches and are 5-3 on the season.
Sayre won by scores of 25-17, 25-7, and 25-13.
Senior Rylee Lantz led the Redskins with four service aces, eight kills, one block, and two digs, while senior Alex Schack had nine aces, three kills, and eight digs, and sophomore Reghan McGaughey had four aces, six kills and 11 digs.
Junior Yhale Doon had three aces, 17 setter assists, and two kills in the win, while sophomore Grace Russo recorded nine digs and two aces, freshman Lilliana Schack added three kills, two aces, two assists, and two digs, and junior Azalea McClenny registered three kills.
Sayre's JV team also won via sweep.
The Redskins return to action Thursday when it hosts division-leading Williamson.
