STAC GIRLS SWIMMING: WAVERLY WINS ALL 12 EVENTS IN 114-23 WIN OVER SUS. VALLEY (2025-09-25)

CONKLIN, N.Y. — Waverly had a foursome — senior Mira Kittle, sophomore Lauryn Welles, and freshman Megan Atanasoff and Audrey Kellogg — of swimmers each win three events in a 114-23 win over Susquehanna Valley here Thursday afternoon in STAC girls swimming action.

Senior Olivia Cheresnowsky, and freshman Brynna Twedt and Natalie Steck were each double-winners for the Wolverines, who improve to 4-0 on the season.

Waverly won all 12 events, including a 1-2 finish in seven events, and a 1-2-3 finish in four.

Kittle led a sweep in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.75 seconds, while Cheresnowsky was second in 1:03.13, and Twedt was third in 1:11.43.

Kittle, Cheresnowsky, Steck and Atanasoff teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:53.58.

Kittle, Cheresnowsky, Kellogg, and Twedt teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:16.7, and the Waverly foursome of sophomore Isabella Miner, senior Elizabeth Robinson, senior Sophie Williams and 7th-grader Harper Varano was second on 5:03.62.

Atanasoff won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.5, and Robinson was second in 1:16.67.

Kellogg led a sweep in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:17.73, while Robinson was second in 2:25.0, and Miner was third in 2:40.96.

Welles led a sweep in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 25.62 seconds, while Steck was second in 26.56 seconds, and freshman Ayla Wheeler was third in 28.74 seconds.

Welles also won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.1 seconds, and Kellogg was second in 58.6 seconds.

Welles teamed with Atanasoff, Kellogg, and Wheeler to win the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:47.46.

Steck won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:14.17.

Twedt won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:39.44, and Varano was second in 3:24.92.

Williams won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 7:21.57, and Miner was second in 7:28.81.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday at Oneonta.
