NEWARK, N.J. — After missing two games, Waverly grad Kennedy Westbrook, a junior on the Division I NJIT women's soccer team, returned to action and played 90 minutes in NJIT's last two games.

Westbrook, a defender by trade, registered a shot-on-goal in NJIT's 1-1 tie at UMass Lowell, then got off two more shots-on-goal in a 2-1 loss to the University of Albany.

On the season, Westbrook has played in 9 of NJIT's 11 games, and has played in all 90 minutes in each of the nine games.

She has three assists, and four shots-on-goal for the season.

NJIT, now 5-3-3, returns to action Thursday when it hosts Binghamton.
