Valley Sports ReportELMIRA — Horseheads had five golfers shoot 47 or better in a 224-237 win over Waverly here Friday afternoon in STAC golf action at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.
Horseheads' Jackson Palumbo earned low-medal honors with a 41 on the par-35 front nine, and Zach Ballard shot a 43.
Sophomore Griff Walter was low for the Wolverines with a 43, while sophomore Daniel Brady shot a 44, and junior Daniel Fischer had a 46.
Senior Mac Talaga carded a 48 for Waverly, while sophomore Trevor Allen added a 56, and senior Tammo Bruns tacked on a non-scoring round of 57.
Waverly, now 2-9, returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Chenango Forks.
