Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Day 1 of the District 4, Class 3A golf championships, which will feature six Athens golfers, headlines a busy Thursday, with the only home action boys soccer at Waverly and Athens, and a volleyball match at Tioga.
GOLF
District 4, Class 3A Championships, 10 a.m. @ White Deer Golf Course, Montgomery: Athens will send six golfers — junior Eli Hicks and Lucas Grenninger, sophomores Ty Owen, Brooke Lyon and Peter Bertsch, and freshman Jacob Saxon — into Round 1 at the Class AAA Championships.
The top two after Day 2 action Saturday at the Williamsport Country Club will advance to the PIAA Championships.
