Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — Sayre bounced back from consecutive losses with a convincing sweep of Hanover Area here Saturday afternoon in non-league volleyball action.
The Redskins, now 8-6, won by scores of 25-8, 25-10, and 25-14.
Junior Yhale Doon led Sayre with five service aces, 22 setter assists, and nine digs, while senior Rylee Lantz registered 16 kills and two aces, and sophomore Reghan McGaughey had eight aces, four kills, and 11 digs.
Sophomore Grace Russo had two aces and eight digs in the win, while junior Sydney Gratkowski had four aces, two assists, and two digs, freshman Lilliana Schack added five kills and two digs, and junior Azalea chipped in with two kills.
Sayre returns to action Tuesday at home against Galeton at 4:30 p.m.

Towanda 25-25-28, Sayre 17-15-26
At Towanda, Sayre dropped in second match in a row, this time fall to Towanda by scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 28-26.
Sophomore Reghan McGaughey led Sayre with 15 kills, 19 digs, two aces, and two digs, while junior Yhale Doon had 17 assists, one block, and 13 digs, and senior Rylee Lantz added five kills and three digs.
Sophomore Grace Russo recorded 16 digs for the Redskins, and freshman Lilliana Schack had 11 digs, two assists, and two kills.
