NTL VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS DOMINANT IN SWEEP OF COWANESQUE VALLEY (2025-10-16)

WESTFIELD, Pa. — Athens used a dominant performance to post its second win in a row, sweeping past Cowanesque Valley here Thursday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Wildcats, now 5-10, won by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-17.

The team played really well and kept the energy up," said Athens coach Heather Darrow.

Freshman Kayla Forbes led Athens with six service aces, 12 digs, and nine serve-receptions, while junior Meg Wiles had 31 setter assists, two aces, and three digs, and sophomore Elle Mosher registered 16 kills, 11 digs, and five aces.

Sophomore Lainey Vosburgh had nine digs and six serve-receptions in the win, while sophomore Kendall Galasso had six kills, senior Regan McDaniel recorded five kills, junior Hannah Parrish had two kills and four digs, junior Ella Raynor added two aces and three digs, and junior Emma Mallare chipped in with three kills.

Athens returns to action Saturday afternoon at NEB.
